Greetings. 2. Free talk: T: What day is it today? Ss: Its T: Whats the weather like today? Ss: Its T: Can we go climbing on a sunny day? Now, we are having an English lesson. Can we go climbing now? Ss: No, we cant. T: What can we do in class? What cant we do in class? Lets have a brain storm. 3. Brain storm. What can we do in class? What cant we do in class? 生快速说出在课堂上能做什么，不能做什么。复习操练情态动词的用法， 为下面的学习做好铺垫。可以出示一些动作类词的图片，提示学生思考。 S: We can read in class We cant run in class T: Can we eat or drink in class? No, we cant. Look ,there is a sign. It means we cant eat or drink here.(课前教师将准备好 的标志图片贴到教室讲台上和门上比较显眼的地方。) Step2 Presentation 1. 呈现课题 Unit 5 Signs ,并学习单词 sign。 T:Can I litter my rubbish in the classroom?(教师扔掉手中的垃圾) Ss: No, you cant. T:Im sorry. I cant litter my rubbish in the classroom. Look, there is a sign. It means we cant litter here. We can see some signs in different places. Today well learn more about public signs-Unit 5 Signs.(教师板书课题，学习单词 sign，强调元音字母 i 的发音。) 2. 初步感知课文 (1) Watch and choose 观看动画， 。学习新单词 shopping centre, restaurant. T: Today, Mike, Helen and Tim find some signs. Now lets watch cartoon and put the signs in the right place. (2) Ask and answer 在做练习时，运用句型 What does it mean? It means学习 No smoking, No eating or drinking, Wet floor, No littering。 3. 深入学习对话并学习新词汇 litter, smoke。 (1) Watch and answer 再次观看课文动画，回答问题。见伴你学 58 页我交流第二题。 Questions:1.What does the sign in the shopping centre mean? 2.What does the sign in the juice shop mean? 3.Can we eat or drink in the bookshop? 4.Can we smoke in the restaurant? T:What do the signs mean? Now, lets watch the cartoon again ,and try to understand what the signs mean, then answer my questions. (2) Read the dialogue and finish the exercise. (3) Check the answers. (4) Learn the new words. (5) Listen and repeat .跟读时注意模仿语音语调，强调升降调。 Step3 Consolidation 1. Read the dialogue freely.在学生阅读时教师查看，并给朗读较好 的小组进行奖励。 2. Act the dialogue in groups. 小组内朗读或表演对话，教师出示评价标准，并在班级中选出两名 裁判。 正确流利的朗读可获得 有感情的模仿朗读可获得 有感情的模仿表演可获得 Step4 Summary 总结 Story time 中出现的公共标志和重点词汇、句型。 Mike, Helen and Tim are at a shopping centre. They see a sign“Wet floor”. It means the floor is wet. Then they see a juice shop. They want some juice. The sign in the juice shop means you cant litter here. They cant eat or drink in the bookshop. Someone is smoking in the restaurant. Tim says you cant smoke here. The man says sorry.
