6、tself is more important than “doer”, or we dont want to tell who performed the action 5. In writing, especially in scientific and technical report and newspaper articles, the passive is more formal. 6. In spoken English, we often use a subject such as people, somebody, they, we, or you even when we

7、do not know who the doer is. In formal English, particularly writing, the passive voice is more formal. Choose a proper option for each situation. Explain why. 1.
