    1、教材分析教材分析 This reading passage “Do you think you will have you own robot?” is selected from Section B Unit 7 The target English, the first volume of Grade eight. 1.Its difficult for our students to read and understand such type of Science and technology reading passage, because its a little long and

    2、there are a large number of vocabularies. The passage mainly talks about the development of robots in the future, including the past and nowadays. Meanwhile, it mainly introduces the predictions towards the development of the robots in the future, which was put forward by the scientists on two diffe

    3、rent sides. So I adopt the method of task-based teaching. 2.There are four paragraphs in the passage, paragraph 3 is a little difficult for the students to understand, we should pay more attention to it. 3.This part aims at training and developing the students reading ability. So Mind-map can play a

    4、n important part in helping the students analyze and further grasp the whole passage which can improve their ability of retelling a story. 学情分析学情分析 1.In the past year and a half, the students in Grade eight have had certain language ability and have made great progress in analytical ability than Gra

    5、de seven. However, it is still important to develop students ability of reading. Thus, in every step, we should attach important to the language points learning and set different activities of reading subskills. 2.Because most of the students here come from countryside, which lead to being weak in E

    6、nglish and have much difficulty in learning English well. Therefore, we should take advantage of Mind-map and give students some easy tasks in order to set proper teaching aims for different students in different levels. Furthermore, arouse the students interest in learning on the basis of developin

    7、g their confidence. 教学目标教学目标 1.By learning the reading passage, students will be able to master the key words, phrases and important sentence pattern. 2.By learning the reading passage, students can learn some reading skills, try to predict and acquire the main idea of the passage and each paragraph

    8、 according to the pictures and the title. And write with the target language. 3.On the basis of careful reading, students can get more details to retell the whole passage with the help of the Mind-map. 4.After learning the passage, students can get some information about the development of the robot

Step 4 While-reading A.Skim and match the general idea of each paragraph. B.Careful reading a.Read each paragraph and finish so

    12、me tasks. b.Form the Mind-map of the whole passage. (设计意图:Give them certain reading skills, enable them to have a better understand about the text. Task-based teaching method is used here to train and improve students ability of reading skills.) Step 5 Post-reading Retell the whole passage by the Mi

    13、nd-map on the Blackboard. (设计意图:If students can finish the task well, they must benefit a lot in their spoken English.) Step 6 Drill and Extension Invent their own robot and write it down. (设计意图:Drill to improve their ability of writing with the target language.) Step 7 Homework Write down their dreaming robot on the exercise book by using the imagination .
