And the training aim in English teaching is to cultivate students not only to master fundamental language skills, but also to use foreign language to achieve communication. Let the

The goal of Go for it! is to make language learning motivating and successful through a step-by-step progression that builds confidence and lead to open-ended activities where students can actively relat

Analysis of Materials This is the first period of this unit, so the students only need to acquire how to use the key words to ask for others opinions about TV shows. First, learners should grasp the modals basic usages and differences. Next, learners should le

    6、arn how to get reasonable preferences that are true for themselves. . Analysis of Students This class is for Ss in Grade Eight, and they have their own opinions about TV shows. During the teaching progress, the teacher can use some famous TV show pictures to make Ss feel directly. Perhaps the studen

    7、ts lack the confidence, or they dont communicate well orally. In order to help students grasp the key points well, I will use the following steps. First, talk free time activities to lead in the new topic in this unit. Next, provide step-by-step language support and clear models for students to foll

    8、ow. Then, activities encourage learners to contribute their own ideas and feelings and to be active in class, and develop students oral communication. Finally, look after health and dont watch TV too much. . Teaching Aims 1. Knowledge Objectives: To master the words and expressions soap opera, talk

    9、show, sports show, game show, talent show, news, etc. To ask for others opinions about TV shows by using “What do you think of?” and show their feelings using “I cant stand / dont like /dont mind /like / love” 2. Ability Objectives: To talk about preference. 3. Moral Objectives: Its good to relax by

    10、 watching TV. But dont watch TV too much. Its bad for your eyes. . Key and Difficult Points 1. Key points To master the words and expressions soap opera, talk show, sports show ,game show, talent show, news, etc. To ask for others opinions about TV shows by using “What do you think of?” and show the

    14、? Well, today we are going to learn Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? In this unit, we are going to talk about some TV shows. Step2. Presentation(1a) 1. Show the new words. 2. Match the words with the pictures. 3. Free talk about “What TV shows do you like / not like? T: Look at these new wor

Ss: (Read together) T: I like sports shows, but I dont like talk shows. How about you? S1: I like game shows, but I dont like news. Step3. Presentation (1b) 1. Listen to the tape

    17、 and finish 1b. 2. Find out the answers to the given questions. 3. Check their answers. T: OK, two boys, Mark and Jack plan to watch TV. Lets listen to the tape and finish 1b on your book. And, what does Jack think of talent shows and talk shows? Like? Not like? Or other words, please catch them. Ss

In the course of learning and teaching, students outlook on life and study is developed and improved step by step. Disadvantages The teacher should arrange the time more useful and make the teaching procedures more step-by-step. Maybe the teacher should ask Ss to make more own sentences to show if they master the key points in this class.
