    17、 reading strategies, ask students to skim the text and do Ex3 on Page 10. Step III Reading Deal with Ex3.Ask students to work individually, reading the text and using the strategies to complete the gaps in the text. Remind students there are two extra sentences that they do not need. Six minutes lat

    18、er check the answers with the whole class.Deal with Ex4.Ask students to read the text carefully and answer the questions in Ex 4 on Page 11. Students may compare their answers to the other group members. Then check the answers with the whole class.SummaryT: From the text we learn that nature is turn

    19、ing on us. The last few years have seen environmental disasters on a grand scale, and experts are predicting far worse to come. In the text Jin Li explains why nature is beginning to turn on us. Step IV ExplanationDuring this procedure Teacher will play the tape for students. Students will underline

    20、 the difficult sentences. After listening to the tape, Teacher will explain the text and deal with language problems. T: Now we will deal with some difficult language focuses. Now I will play the tape for you. Please make marks where you have difficulties.After listening to the tape, explain the dif

    21、ficult sentences to students. Before explaining the difficult points, students are asked to refer to the notes to the text on Pages 114-115. T: After we learn the text, Id like you to explain the title “Nature is turning on us”.S1: “turn on” means “become hostile towards”. From the text we learn tha
