17、ting,and accurate.At this time ideas on perspective by Masaccio were adopted by Leonardo da Vinci,Michelangelo,and Raphael,producing some of Europes greatest paintings.The use of oil paints reached its height with Rembrandt,a master of shadow and light.Photography in the mid-19th century meant accuracy was no longer needed.So,named after a painting by Claude Monet,Impressionism focused on light and movement in nature or daily life,while Renoir used such techniques to show peoples humanity.Modern Art saw the Cubism of Picasso and other artists abstract creations seemingly ask,“What is art?”
