    23、”耿正说:“没事儿,一会儿盖上棺盖就闻不到了!”说着,耿正将一个可以盖住半个脸的大礼帽戴在模特儿的头上,耿英再用白布将模特儿整个儿给蒙上,周围又紧紧地挤满各种衣物。三个人仔细检查一下没有什么遗漏了,就用几个大铁钉子将寿棺的盖子钉了起来。然后,兄妹三人又用白纱将骡车的车棚也布置成了普通送灵车的样子。让兄妹三人非常高兴的是,这挂平板车的车架和车棚内部都相当宽敞。除了在后面的车架上可以捆扎两袋草料之外,在车棚里边还可以将兄妹三人需要带回家去的所有行囊,以及那个大大的软皮箱、一个大大的礼品包,还有另外的两个小包裹全都放上。在那个大大的礼品包里边,包着准备送给武昌镇上白娘娘一家人的礼品;在另外的两个小包裹里边,一个里边包了给黄河边上的老爷爷和老奶奶准备的南方特色点心和糖果,另一个则包了给梁爷爷和梁奶奶上坟的祭品,以及准备在过江前祭奠白幺爹的东西。而且在寿棺的旁边,还可以挤坐得下兄妹三人。那两条刚买的又粗又长的捅火棍,也分别放到了铺在车内的一条厚褥子下面的两侧。晚上,李老乡如约
