Navajo Bridge Located in Arizona, this bridge crosses the Colorado River and is almost 250 meters long. The construction of this bridge started in the year 1927, ending two years later, costing $ 390

6、,000. In the 1990s a second bridge was built which was opened to the public in 1995. 12、 is a pink Brompton folding bike, which shes used on five trips around the US south. She keeps another bike with a friend for her tours of mainland Europe. This seasoned biker reckons shes traveled at least 10 000 miles. “Usually my trips are close to 1 000 miles in three to four weeks， ” MacDonald

13、says. She uses online travel communities Warm Showers and Couchsurfing to find a place to stay, and hosts guests herself at her home in Missoula, Montana. Warm Showers is exclusively(专门地 ) for touring cyclists while Couchsurfing is for any travelers wanting to meet new people or open their homes to

By August 2016, MacDonald estimated that shed stayed with 165 hosts and hosted around 200 guests of her own. “It saves a pile of money ， ” she admits. “But far beyond that, the real value is the people you meet, the inspiration you get from each other, the memories, the connections.” She kee

Kilimanjaro. Struck by the limited packing space, he got inspiration from traditional washboards to create a

21、bag that could be used to clean clothes. Then he quitted his career as a lawyer and focused on perfecting the bags design. By 2012, the bag was ready for the public. It weighed only 180 grams and required very little storage space, making it perfect for anyone wishing to travel light. Not surprising

22、ly, the bag worth 55 dollars was an instant hit with travelers, university students and even passengers. However, Newland was not satisfied. He still saw a disadvantage with his invention dirty clothes had to be carried around in a separate bag! The recently introduced Scrubba Wash Bag solves that p

23、roblem. In order to make the pack active, dirty clothes are placed inside the bag along with two or three liters of water. The bag is then shut tightly to ensure all air is squeezed out and the clothes are massaged for a few minutes. After a quick wash, they are clean and ready to be dried. According to Newland, the pack can clean anything from jeans to smelly socks! Whats even more amazing is that with a capacity to hold 13 liters of water, it can be used to wash more clothes at a time. The best part is that the 99dollar pack that will be
