4、embly in 1987,this day serves as a reminder of the goals agreed to by Member States of creating an international society free of drug abuse.Our efforts to promote development and fight drugs and crime will be more effective if they are rooted in partnerships with the young,civil society,governments

15、ned in the un-ripened seed pod of the opium poppy.As the fluid is exposed to air,it hardens and turns black in color.This dried form is typically smoked,but can also be eaten.Opium is grown mainly in Myanmar(formerly Burma)and Afghanistan.Cocaine most often appears as a white crystalline powder or a

16、n off-white chunky material.Powder cocaine is usually snorted or dissolved in water and injected.What does heroin look like?Pure heroin is a white powder with a bitter taste.Most illicit heroin varies in color from white to dark brown.Black tar heroin is sticky like roofing tar or hard like coal,and

17、 its color may vary from dark brown to black.Morphine sulfate occurs as white,feathery,silky crystals,cubical masses of crystals,or white crystalline powder;it is soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol.LSD(lysergic acid diethylamide)is one of the major drugs making up the hallucinogen clas
