Today, my topic is I want to be an actor.Its really my honor to stand here making this presentation. To make my point much clearer, Im going to present them in the following

    2、6 aspects: analysis of teaching material, analysis of sutdents, teaching methods, learning methods, teaching procedures and blackboard lay out. Now I am going to present them one by one. Analysis of Teaching MaterialI want to be an actor is Unit 4 of the 7th grade students book, published by Peoples

    3、 Education Press. The main line of this unit is to talk about different careers and the reason why they want to do this job. It will improve students comprehensive ability in listening, speaking, reading and writing.II . Teaching ObjectivesBased on the new curriculum standards, there are three teach

    4、ing objectives.1. Knowledge Objectives.Students are supposed to master the new words of career along with the target sentence What do you want you to be.2. Ability Objectives Its important for students to know how to express themselves and enable their ability of communication.3. Emotion ObjectivesM

    5、atin Luther King once made a very famous speech called I have a dream, encouraged countless people around the world, the spirit of pursusing the dream has passed from generation to genration. Students in this age are like blooming flowers, they should be encouraged to have a dream, and let them unde

    6、rstand that if they never quit, they shall reap.Based on analyzing the teaching materials, the key point is to master the key sentence of What do you do, but there are so many jobs, so the difficult points for students will be memorize the names of all kinds of jobs.Students in grade 7 have already

    7、learned English for many years, they have build a solid foundation and are capable of making some simple sentences. Still they are ambitious enough to learn more. The spirit of this unit is encouraging students to communicate with others, thus it requirs Sss fully involvement.With knowing the basic

    8、situation of Students, we will select the most suitable tools. In this case, pictures and videos about some jobs such as policeman, doctor will help the students bring the best of themselves.III. Teaching MethodsAccording to the students psychological characteristic,I will suggest task-based and sit

    9、uational teaching methods. Learning MethodsIt takes more than teaching to complete the circle of learning, Students willing to learn is equally important. The learning methods of this class are Pair work, Group work and discussion. . Teaching Procedures1. Lead-inDraw some simple pictures about jobs

    10、on the blackboard and let the students guess what job it is, after writing down the names of these pictures, I will organize a brain-storm about some names of the jobs.By doing this I intend to bring up students interests of learning.2. Presentation Ask What do I do? Where do I work? And say I am a

    11、teacher but I want to be a policeman. I think a policeman is very great. Do you want to be a policeman? What do you want to be? Help them answer the questions. Learning the sentence of I want to be sb is the foundation of the section.3. Practice As the saying goes, practice makes the perfect. Thus i

    12、n this part, I will start with giving them some riddles to guess , such as Idrive car all day ,but the car isnt mine, what do I do. Then let the students play a Game called Guess my job, which is have one student perform and others guess what does he do. In order to let the students get familiar wit

    13、h some describe words, students will guess by using the sentence like Is your work dangerous? 4. Consolidation Divided the class into several groups and ask them to practice the sentence What does your father do? My father is a teacher. By doing this, students will practice to change the subject int

    14、o the third person, consolidate the knowledge they learned on class. 5. Summary To sum up, I will ask the students to think how many names of jobs do they learn today and what are they, what do they want to be. 6. HomeworkBy now I have acomplished most of the targets except the last one, homework. T

    15、he homework I design for them is a group work. They will make a survey about what do their parents do and writing a report like In our group, Xiaomings fahter is a teacher.
