1、Good morning! Judges! Im the NO.xx candidate applying for middle school English teacher. Today my topic is “wheres the post office?”Its my great honor to stand here to present my lesson. Now, Im going to begin my presentation with four aspects: teaching background, the assessment of performance, tea
2、ching plan and teaching reflection.First, Ill introduce the first part teaching background.The lesson of wheres the post office? is the first period of unit 2 book 2 in grade 7, PEP. It is mainly about how to ask directions and give directions on the street. According to the picture-learning, Ss can
3、 easily grasp the new words and phrases of location and know how to ask and answer the location of place in their daily life.When considering the students situation of grade 7. They have already known some basic English words and expressions. During the teaching process, the most important thing is
4、to inspire their interest of study. So Ill design something interesting to attract their attention to make them learn quickly.After analyzing the Ss situation, I set up three teaching objectives.1. Knowledge and skills objectives. I set two goals:a. 90% of the Ss can grasp the new words and phrases
5、about locationb. 80% of the Ss can master the sentence pattern about asking location “where is the? Is there a?” “there be” in their daily life.2. Process and method objectiveDuring the learning process, the Ss are able to improve their ability of describing location.3. Emotion, attitude and value o
6、bjectiveThis lesson will help the Ss improve their ability of logic thinking and expression. Learn asking for help politely. And always get ready to help othersAccording to the above analyzes on students and objectives. The teaching key points and difficult points can be listed as follows: The key p
7、oints are helping the Ss memorize the key vocabulary, understand how to ask directions and give directions on the street. The difficult points are to help the students to describe some place using appropriate preposition.Then the second part: the assessment of performance In my teaching process, Ill
8、 focus on formative appraisal. For example, in class, Ill draw a simple map to them and ask them to describe the location of some place. Due to the different levels of students, Ill invite the Ss who are relatively weak in foundation to answer easy question. If their answers are right, Ill reward th
9、em some pencils. If they have trouble in responding, Ill invite other students to help them or give them some tips. Whatever their answers are they will be encouraged and praised. In the whole teaching process, Ill integrate various assessment methods: mutual rating and teachers assessment to motiva
10、te Ss learning activity and create a harmonious class atmosphere.The third part is teaching plan, first is my teaching strategy. As we all known that, a good teaching method requires that the teacher should help Ss develop their ability of learning. For achieving this goal, I will mainly adopt commu
11、nication, and solving task methods in this lesson. Three activities will be designed:1. Communication. Teacher asks the place using the hang picture. 2. Teacher invites some students to draw the route to place.3. Ss learn to describe the route to place.Every student has chance to join in the activit
12、ies. And the activity will be set from easy to difficult level, appropriate students will be chosen to deal with them, making sure everyone would gain confidence. No matter good or bad of their performances, the Ss will be encouraged.Thats all of my teaching strategy. Based on it, my teaching proced
