    1、Good morning! Judges! Im the NO.xx candidate applying for high school English teacher. Today my topic is “friendship”.Its my great honor to stand here to present my lesson. Now, Im going to begin my presentation with four aspects: teaching background, the assessment of performance, teaching plan and

    2、 teaching reflection.First, Ill introduce the first part teaching background.The lesson is the first period of unit 1 book 1 in senior 1, NSEFC. It is mainly about the friendship. By studying of the passage, Ill enable Ss to know the importance of friendship and how to maintain a good friendship.The

    3、 students in senior one have already known some basic English words and expressions. During the teaching process, the most important thing is to inspire their interest of study and to develop their reading ability on their own. So Ill design something interesting make them learn quickly.According to

    4、 the new standard curriculum and the syllabus, and after analyzing the Ss situation, I set up three teaching objectives.1. Knowledge and skills objectives. I set 3 goals:(1) All the Ss can master the usage of the important words and expressions. (2) 80% of the Ss can use the direct and indirect spee

    5、ch in the proper situation. (3) 90% of the Ss can understand the content of the lesson, talk about their friend and get their own idea about friendship2. Process and method objectiveThe Ss are able to improve reading ability, especially their skimming and scanning ability.3. Emotion, attitude and va

    6、lue objectiveBy learning this lesson, Ss will love and cherish their friend more. According to the above analyzes on students and objectives. The teaching key points and difficult points can be listed as follows: The key points are helping the Ss grasp the new words and phrases, such as, upset, igno

    7、re, add up The difficult points are to help the students to grasp how to use direct and indirect speech in statements and questions.Then the second part: the assessment of performance In my teaching process, Ill focus on formative appraisal. For example, Ill give Ss a free talk about friendship. Dif

    8、ferent people have different ideas, so Ill choose some students to talk about their thoughts. Whatever their answers are they will be encouraged and praised. In the whole teaching process, Ill integrate various assessment methods: mutual rating and teachers assessment to motivate Ss learning activit

    9、y and create a harmonious class atmosphere.The third part is teaching plan, first is my teaching strategy. As we all known that, a good teaching method requires that the teacher should help Ss develop their ability of learning. For achieving this goal, I will mainly adopt task-based method in this l

    10、esson. For example, Ill give Ss a mind-map listing the importance of friend. And the students can complete this map with their own opinion. According to the map-learning, Ss can broaden their thought and considerate problem from different angles. Then, before careful-reading of the passage, Ill ask

    11、students do some true or false exercise, developing their scanning reading ability. During the intensive reading, Ill explain the complicated sentence and grammar to Ss, making the Ss grasp how to use direct and indirect sentence. In the teaching process, Ill encourage Ss to work in pairs or groups

    12、by the purpose of increasing their study interest.Thats all of my teaching strategy. Based on it, my teaching procedures will be divided into 6 steps.Step one: lead in At the beginning of my class, Ill play a song called “auld lang syne”. Then Ill ask the Ss whether they know the songs background an

    13、d main idea. By introducing this song, Ill present todays topic.Step two: pre-reading Before reading the passage, I will show Ss a mind-map about the friendship. Many important points of friendship are listed; Ss should complete the map filling in the blank with their own opinion. Whatever their ans

    14、wers are, they will be encouraged. Step three: while-reading Step four: post-readingStep five: summaryDuring the learning process, Ss will have a further understanding of friendship. And they will love and cherish their friend more.Teacher makes supplements and emphasized the difficult points.Step s

    15、ix: homework After class, Ss should finish the exercise of the text. And preview the next lesson.Homework is so important and necessary for to master the knowledge they learned after class. It will check whether the Ss achieve the teaching aims.The last part of my presentation is teaching reflection.This lesson mainly adopts the TPR and task-based method. During the learning process, Ss study interest was inspired. They learned new words and sentence patterns actively, not mechanically. And the students had a happy learning atmosphere.
