9、导入教学，然后，通过一个简单的游戏提早渗透文本中的新授词汇。Story time教学应当注重其故事性和文本性。教学中分三步走，首先简单介绍自己的动物朋友，集中呈现了文本的新词汇，在此词汇教学只要求能随文识意，大致了解；其次通过询问What animal friends do they have?了解他人的动物朋友，对文本进行整体感知；而后通过设计不同形式的活动分步解读文本，由Read and tick解析第一语段，由Read and fill in the blanks了解第二语段，由Read and complete分析三、四语段，注重学生文本阅读策略和技能的指导，引导学生关注文本细节，学会把握关键信息。朗读时，教师尽量引导学生模仿录音，注意语音语调的变换，重读、弱读等朗读技巧的处理。接着，教师指导学生依据板书复述文本，四人一组，任选一个动物朋友描述，降低难度且参与面广泛。最后，教师设计了描述自己的动物朋友活动，学以致用，真正做到让学生用英语做事情。
