Shackleton threw away all his gold and took only essential supplies. He did so because he realized clearly

As there wasnt any chance of being rescued on Elephant Island, Shackleton ventured more than 1,300 kilometers with five of his men to search for help. It was a very tough trip, and no one could imagine the danger ahe

    17、ad of them. This is Shackleton, a considerate and responsible leader with great perseverance. I think of Shackletons expedition to Antarctica as a great one, and he is a great leader with love, responsibility and strong will.1.
