When Lu Xun was 15, traditional Chinese medicine failed to cure his fathers illness, so he made a decision to study Western medicine and become a doctor. But later, he made a decision to abandon his medical studies and take up writing. Because he realised that people in China were more in need of treatment for their minds than their bodies.
