19、生跟教授说有一个project需要教授reconsider，她想提议在校园里面种蔬菜。教授说不行，然后女生拿出一个文件，有好多人签名觉得这是可行的。老师说一个volunteer项目是校园外专门教小孩，学生说她本来也想申请，然后老师借这个事情跟学生说可以在校园外尝试。学生说比如在park种蔬菜，老师又说自己有garden要各种费心思维护，浇水杀虫之类的，告诉学生这个项目做起来不容易。托福听力对话部分分析：这两篇conversation难度都比较大，其原因不在于词汇量和话题，而在于信息的密集度，双选题数量多，意味着有很多并列的逻辑。啄木鸟老师再次提醒，双选题现在在一套题中占比已经可以达到1/5甚至

20、1/4，大家一定要把and、or、in addition to、besides之类的词反复多听，做到条件反射式地反应出句间逻辑，写下笔记符号。Lecture1是动物行为，鸟儿的calls和songs的不同，calls是与生俱来的，就像婴儿求食物，songs是后天学习的，像adults学习。两人先是William 然后是Peter。William研究让鸟儿听声音，一些是不让听的，一些听录音。Peter分两拨，一些鸟儿小于50天，一些大于50天，还有一些不给听。老师说后来有研究说大于50天也没事，但是要听见真正的鸟儿。最后老师觉得这些理论她都不是很确定。托福听力真题分析：动物行为类的文章一直是高频

23、话题，可以TPO28L4进行参考复习。Lecture3是艺术学，说的是Realism的定义的演变。Professor说Realism的定义就是反应真实细节的事物。然后说一开始有个叫melodrama的特别夸张，会使用到spectacles(壮观的场面)，后来改进引入set box，这个set box就像是墙一样。观众可以听见水流的声音就在舞台上，显得非常的真实。托福听力真题分析：这个题目还是很经典的艺术流派考法，同学们在听的时候可以多多关注以下几个方面：该流派产生的背景(它是如何承上启下的)、代表艺术家、代表作、有何创新点、同时代和后时代的人对它的评价等。补充阅读：A melodrama is

44、rie Canals为例，连接New York Port 和几百英里外的市场。第3段说到但是随着steam boats需求越来越大，不能再满足需求。促进了railroads的发展。第4段由于canals花费很大，联邦政府各个州和个人都开始支持铁路建设。一开始美国从英语引进engine，后来为了适应自身情况，开始发展自己的。当时美国有35000miles的铁路，是英国10000miles的三倍之多，railroads是工业革命的xx Sign.第5段，Railroads使得重货物的运费降低，又能到达偏远地区，促进了global economy。并且由于运输速度的大幅提升，以及其便利性，不再需要储
