There be句型的非限定形式There be句型的非限定形式是 there to be和there being结构，它们主要用在书面语中。 两种结构都可作介词宾语。如果介词是for，只能用there to be结构；如果是其他

9、介词，则要用 there being结构。例如： Alan waited for there to be another opportunity to show his competence.艾伦等待再有一次机会来展示他的能力。 For there to be life, there must be air and water. 要有生命，必须要有空气和水。 He was relying on ( there being ) another opportunity.他在依靠有另一次机会。 作动词宾语时，一般用there to be结构。这类动词主要有believe, expect, hate,

10、 hope, intend, like, mean, prefer, want, wish等。例如： We expect there to be more freedom. 我们希望有更多的自由。 I want there to be no mistake about it. 我希望此事不会有任何差错。 there being结构可用作分词独立结构，在句中作状语；也可后接名词短语，在句中作主语。例如：There being nothing else to do, we went home.因为没别的事要做，我们就回家了。There not being an index to this book

There be句型中的附加部分There be +名词（词组）是There be句型的主体部分位于名词（词组）之后的成分则是它的附加部分。这一附加部分一般有以下几种情况： There be +名词（词组）+ 状语：Are there any lemons in the fridge?冰箱里有柠檬吗？There was a strong wind last night.昨晚刮了一阵大风。 There be +名词（词组）+形容词/分词/不定式：There appeared something unusual.出现了一件不同

15、型也有不表示“存在”意义，而作为惯用结构使用的情况，主要有以下几种类型： There is no sense/point/use (in) + 动名词。例如：There is no sense in making him angry. 惹他生气是没有道理的。There is no point in talking about the matter again.没有必要再谈论这件事。Is there any use in discussing the matter further?这件事再讨论下去有用吗？Theres no use waiting any longer. (亦作：Its no u
