Background information Helen Keller was born in Alabama in 1880. When she was only 19 months old, she had a high fever that left her blind and deaf. When she was

    3、almost 7 years old, her parents engaged(雇雇) Anne Mansfield Sullivan to be her tutor. With dedication (奉献奉献), patience, courage and love of Miss Sullivan, Helen Keller quickly learned to read and write, and began to speak by the age of 10.When she was 20, she entered Radcliffe College, with Miss Sull

    4、ivan at her side to spell textbooks, letter by letter, into her hand. Four years later, Helen Keller was awarded a Bachelors degree.After graduation, Helen began her lifes work of helping blind and deaf people. She travelled around the world to lecture and wrote many books and articles.The name of H
