I have always believed in ending the day on a positive note by writing a word or two in a gratitude journal and saying something sweet to my wife about the day we shared. Now, I have a ne

    5、w morning habit. It hasnt changed my routine one bit, but it has changed the way I look at the world. Among those 2,000 castles or chateaus(城堡)is Hluboka Castle. Even though ifs not ranked in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, its unbelievable beauty attracts both dom

    11、estic citizens and foreign tourists. After living in Prague for more than six years, I was finally able to organize a trip to this amazing castle this summer. It was a lovely summer day when my two university friends and I decided to travel to Hluboka Castle. The castle is situated in a town of the

    12、same name, Hluboka nad Vltavou, which lies in the south part of Prague. At 7:30, we entered the bus station in the main train station of Prague, and after two and half hours, we arrived at our destination. We walked about 10 minutes from the bus station to the city center. There we had to climb a sm

    13、ooth slope to reach the castle, during which I could already hear the horses hooves(蹄脚)and carriage wheels rolling across the ground. We first saw an extensive English garden with a lawn and colorful flowers. The castle itself was magnificent (宏伟的) .It was first built in Gothic style by King Premysl

    14、 Otakar II in the 13th century. Later purchased by the famous German-Czech noble ( 贵 族 的 ) house Schwarzenberg, the castle was rebuilt several times. The architectural style was changed first to baroque(巴洛克风格)and later to the same romantic style as Englands Windsor Castle. There are several routes f

    15、or sightseeing, but we only chose the route for representative rooms, which contained the bedroom, dining room, kids theater and library. It is typical for Czech castles to have a guide to explain the history of the castle, which I appreciate very much. The castle is special in many areas. It is mos

    16、tly decorated by huge tapestries(挂毯)and jalousie (百叶窗)windows, which are all wooden in order to protect the castle.
