Unit 2 My week Teaching Plan (The Sixth Period) . Teaching Background Class Type: New Teaching Lesson duration: 30 mins Students: primary school students , grade 5 Students in grade 5 have learnt some subjects and phrases such as Chinese, English, read books, wash my clothes This lesson is aimed to help Ss to talk about their days of the week, and give advice to others. Therefore, it is also the difficult point. Whats more? Ss in grade 5 are positive, outgoing and willing to get praise from teacher. So, teacher can utilize it by organizing interesting games, pair work and group work. But we can also know that Ss can not pay attention to one thing for a long time, and besides, they will do other things during game time or talk loudly with their mates. So I think reward and publishment are necessary, when teachers are organizing teaching. And game is also vital for this kind of class. .Teaching contents This reading material “Robins advice”is from read and write of part B ,Unit 2 , in book 5, PEP . . Teaching objectives Knowledge objectives 1. Students can read and understand the dialogue ,finish the tasks. 2. Grasp the fourskilled sentences: What do you have on . ? I have/What do you often do on the weekend ? I often Ability objectives 1. Ss can master the reading skills to understand the dialogue . 2. Ss can use the expressions and sentence pattern to talk with partner and make a new schedule. Emotional objectives 1. Learn to arrange their time reasonably . 2. Be active in sports and games. . Key points & Difficult points Key points (1) Understand the dialogue and finish the tasks. (2)To enable Ss to study in groups and cooperate skillfully. (3) To develop Ss interest in English. Difficult points (1)Use the expressions and sentence pattern in real situation. Step2、Pre- reading (3 mins) Game : Guess Review the key words and phrases(Monday, Tuesday, play football),lead in the new words: play sports 、tired. Step3、While- reading (15 mins) Task 1: Read and answer the questions: 1.Why does WuYifan looks tired ? 2.What does WuYifan have on Fridays? Task 2 : Read the dialogue and judge the sentences tick or cross. T:What dose WuYifan often do on the weekend ? First, ask Ss try to give advice to WuYifan, then show the Robins advice. Ask Ss practice the sentence pattern like this:“Robin, Robin, what do you have on. ?” “I have a . ”Ss do it in pair. Task 3:Read and write Create the following situation: T: After that, WuYifan plays sports everyday,4 months later , he meets Sarah, please complete their conversation.
