Unit 7 Protect the Earth (Period 1) 教材分析:本课时教学的内容是译林版六年级上册第七单元 Protect the Earth(Story time)。这个单元跟第六单元有些练习,都和环保有关,所以在引出 本课话题之初,我设置了地球妈妈受伤害的情境,让学生各抒己见,一方面复 习了第六单元内容,另一方面因势利导,引出新课内容。 一、教学内容: Story time 二、教学目标: 1、能听懂、会读、会说 protect, earth, save, useful, waste, reuse, energy, most, coal, wood, cut down, plastic, oil, drive, so much. 2、能听懂、会读、会说日常交际用语 We use to We should We shouldnt 3、通过小组合作交流,利用思维导图,能正确地理解并能用标准的语音语调 朗读文本,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。 4、让学生了解保护地球的重要性,培养学生热爱地球,保护地球的意识,了 解更多保护地球的方法。 三、教学重点: 对词汇和句型的理解。 四、教学难点: 通过小组合作交流,利用思维导图,能正确地理解并朗读文本,在教师的引导 和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。 五:教学准备: PPT,板书 六:教学过程: Step 1 Pre-reading 1.Enjoy a video about the Earth T: This is our home. Is she beautiful? There are so many animals, trees, oceans and rivers on her surface. T: Whos she? (teach: Earth) 2.Talk about the Earth with the students (1) T: Whats on the Earth? S: Theres/There are T: There are lots of rivers, oceans and lakes. And there is lots of water in them. (teach: lots of water) (2) T: Whats in the Earth? T/S: There is some oil and coal in her body. (teach: coal, oil) T: We use the coal to make electricity. We use the oil to make gas. Most of our energy comes from coal and oil. (teach: energy, most of) 3.Enjoy another cartoon. T: Living with human beings, the earth was happy before. But now there is less and less clean water. There are less and less forests. Smoke from cars and factories makes the air dirty. We are asking too much from the Earth. She is so sad. As the children of the Earth, what should we do? S: We should protect the Earth. (teach: protect) (揭题) 【设计意图:利用一个地球的视频让学生直观感受本课主题 Earth,然后以此 谈论 Whats on/in the Earth?教学新词:oil 和 coal。通过一个人类破坏环境的 视频让学生说说 What can we do?让学生说一说第六单元学习过的保护环境的 句子,从而激发学生保护地球的欲望,揭示本课主题:Protect the Earth。】 Step 2 While-reading 1.Watch the cartoon T: Yes. We should protect the earth. But how can we protect the Earth? We have many ways to protect the Earth. Today Ill bring you a video about protect the Earth. Lets watch it and find out what are mentioned in the story. (teach: Save water Save energy Save trees Dont use too much plastic ) 【设计意图:出示保护环境的方法,让学生看一遍 story 的卡通,回答文中涉 及了哪四个方面,从而出示本课四个小课题。整体感知课文,从整体上初步掌 握文章脉络。】 2.Passage1 Save water (1) Look and say T: We know we drink water every day. So water is useful. (teach: useful) T: Water is useful. We use to(teach: We use water to ) T: Water is so useful. We should save water. We shouldnt waste water. (teach: waste) (2) Find out: Why should we save water? How to save water? Then show the mind map. (3) Listen and repeat when finding out why and how. We useto We should/shouldnt而且帮助学生 剖析本段脉络,利用 Why should we save water?和 How to save water?两个 问题让学生明确句意和本段语篇结构。教师利用板书和 PPT 上的思维导图,带 着学生复述本段,让学生进一步掌握本段内容。】 3.Passage2 Save energy (1) T: To protect the Earth, we can save water. We can save energy too. What is energy? Look, there are many kinds of energy here. But where does most of our energy come from? (teach: most of ) (2) Listen and answer T: Two more questions for you. Lets listen to the computer and answer the questions. (3) Ask and answer in pairs. Why should we save energy? How to save energy? (4) Read the passage after the computer. (5) Lets retell.(看板书复述) 4.T: Now boys and girls, we know we should save water and energy to protect the earth. What else should we do? Passage 3&4: Save trees, Dont use too much plastic The students learn by themselves (1) Discuss in pairs 独立完成练习纸,然后同桌问答,最后教师问,学生答。 T: How to save trees? How to use less plastic? (2) Read the passages, pay attention to the red signs, we can take a breath when we see them. (3) Choose one passage and try to retell it. 5.Read the whole text with the cartoon 6.Retell together.(看板书) 【设计意图:第二段 Save energy 的教学继续用第一段的模式开展教学,本段 教学教师稍微放手,先通过听力练习解决部分难点,接着让学生自己找 Why 和 How,自己归纳,从而让学生自己通过思维导图和板书来复述。第三第四段 的教学,教师则完全放手,通过前两段的学习,学生已经掌握了本课的学习方 式,此时放手,让学生自主学习。我认为课堂的教学不应局限于知识的教学, 更应着眼于学习方法的掌握。本课教学设计的宗旨便在于此。】 Step 3 After-reading 1.Plant more trees.(教师提前写好一个,读出来并贴在黑板上。) T:Well done! I think we can do many things for the Earth. I can plant a green tree. Look! Now can you plant more trees?(小组合作,完成绿树, 上台读出来之后贴上黑板。) T: Look, the Earth is smiling. She is thanking you all. 2.We are going green. T: The Earth turns green. I think we should be green too. (teach: green) T: To protect the Earth, what else should we do? What else shouldnt we do?(看图片扩充) 3.Summary: To protect the Earth, we can do many things. No matter what things, we can do it from ourselves because we just have one Earth. Thats our only home. 【设计意图:齐读课文后,我设计了 Plant more trees 的环节,训练学生写的 能力,小组合作的能力,让学生上台展示并让学生上黑板为地球妈妈种一棵树。 从而开展下一个环节 We are green.让学生体会下我们日常生活中能做什么来保 护地球,将课堂贴近生活,让学生从生活中的小事做起,从自己做起,为保护 地球贡献一份力量。】 Step 4 Homework 1.Listen to the tape and read Story time. Finish the exercises on P70. 2.Search for more ways to protect the Earth on the Internet and take actions right now. 七、板书设计: 八、教学反思: 我们年级的教研教改专题是:如何运用思维导图提高学生英语口头表达能 力。本课时教学设计就是以此为依据进行各种活动。四个小节的教学都分为两 点:why 和 how 来教学,教学过程由简入难,循序渐进。教师教学由扶到放, 让学生在学习知识的过程中,也学到了一些分析文本、理解文本的方法。 本课时教学内容较多,部分环节有点走流程的感觉,不够充分,课后应该 思考如何更有效的利用课堂时间,更加有效地开展各种课堂活动。
