Project 1 A holiday album 1. How to ask about holidays? Where_? What _? How _? _ _ _ 2. Read the passage. The UK is a very interesting country, the weather is often rainy, but sometimes its sunny. Churches, castles, towers and museums are famous and common buildings, you can see them anywhere, they are large and grand. There are other world-famous places, such as Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, London Eye. Oxford University and Cambridge University are top universities, the students are free and they have colourful days, however, they work very hard. In my school , everybody is friendly and helpful, they are not busy. The school begins at 9 am and finishes at 3 pm. The students play happily at school and have fun with their family after school, whats more, there is no homework, yes, no homework at all! What a wonderful life! All in all, the life in UK is impressive to me. Their lifestyle is relaxing and enjoyable. T: Do you know the other beauty spots? 2. Show the photos and ask the questions. (1) S1: Where did you go for the summer holiday? T: I went to Xiamen. (2) S2: What did you do there? T: I went there on the 18th of August. On the second day, I visited Xiamen University. On the third day, I saw the sunrise and went to beaches. (3) S3: Did you swim? T: No, I didnt. (4) S4: Did you ride a bicycle there? T: Yes, I did. On the fourth day, I rode a bicycle along the sea. (5) S5: How was the weather?
