Read the story after the tape. 2. Writer a passage about our Christmas. 主要板书计划 教学过程 Step1 warm-up 1. Enjoy the music about Christmas. 引出课题,齐读。 T:What is the song about? Ss: Christmas. T: Good. Today well learn Unit 8 At Christmas, (揭题) 2. 出示本课的计划,让学生初步感知 First/Next/Then/Finally,句型。 The plan for the lesson First, say something about Christmas. Next, learn the story. Then, retell the story. Finally, say more about our Christmas. Step2 Before reading 1. PPT 出示单词 Christmas. T: What do you know about Christmas? (1) PPT 出示 date .T: When is Christmas? Ss: 选择 Dec.25th. T: 补充介绍 Dec.24th 为 Christmas Eve(平安夜,并说明 Eve 意思是 evening) ,Dec.25th.为 Christmas Day(圣诞日) 。 (2)T:Do you any things about Christmas? Ss: 自由说,师出示物品贴于黑板上, 并相机教学这些单词:Christmas tree, Father Christmas, stocking(用 long sock 来引 导读音,说明意思), (bells,) presents(与 gift 联系,了解含义,并领读,开火车 读练习), Christmas hat (3)T: What do you do at Christmas? 让学生自由说说自己实际生活中的活动,但这是个西方节日,学生所说活动 肯定很有限, (如购物,吃一顿大餐,送礼物等) T:Some of you have a big dinner. Some of you get some presents. Some of you dont do anything. Why? Because Christmas is not our traditional festival. Its a Western holiday. Step3 While reading 1. T: What do Western people do at Christmas? Mike will tell us about Christmas. Lets listen.(PPT 出示 Mike 头像及录音“We always have a lot of fun at Christmas”.) Ss: Mike always has a lot of fun at Christmas.(板书 have a lot of fun) T : Mike always have a lot of fun at Christmas. What does he do at Christmas? He shows some pictures about Christmas to us.(PPT 呈现课文四幅插图)Lets listen to him and put them in the correct order. (出示 first, next, then, finally 四个单词,让学 生用这些单词来进行排序。 ) (播放课文录音,并让学生排序。 ) T&Ss:交流,用 First,b.这样的句式,初次练习这四个词。 2. OK. They do a lot of things at Christmas. But what do they do? Can you tell me in English? (No.) Now read and find the activities. Work in groups of four.(PPT 呈现以下 要求) Read and find.(四人小组合作,读一读找一找。 ) First, choose one part. Next, read and underline. Then, talk to your partners. Finally, show your ideas to us. Ss:小组内分工合作,每人选择一个部分自读找一找,并互相读一读,有不会的 单词,互相请教或向老师询问。 T&Ss:分段交流。 (1) PPT 出示课文第一段,生交流活动词组,师板书 buy.for. go to see,再跟读 录音一遍。 (2) T: Next, what do they do ? PPT 出示课文第二段,学生交流,引出 pretty things 的 教学,PPT 动画演示 put the pretty things on the Christmas tree & Put the presents under the tree 并板书 put.on.和 put.under.,学生跟读录音一遍。 (3) T: Its Christmas Eve, what do they do then? PPT 出示课文第三段,学生交流活动。 教学 stocking 和 wait for presents 的教学,跟读录音一遍。 拓展平安夜外国小朋友写信告诉圣诞老人圣诞愿望的文化知识,然后让学生说 说自己的圣诞愿望。 (PPT 呈现以下内容) Wait for presents First, write your wish(愿望) on the letter. Next, put the letter in the stocking. Then, put the stocking on the bed. Finally, Father Christmas comes to see you. T: (PPT 呈现 Mike 的信,并让学生模仿说说自己的信。) T: Les wait for presents together. Look, Father Christmas is coming. (播放圣诞老人送礼 物的电影片断,让学生真实感受一下节日氛围。 ) T: Who may be Father Christmas? Ss: My father and mother are Father Christmas. T: Maybe. Our parents love us very much。Do you love them too? Ss: Yes. (4) T: Finally, its Christmas Day. what do they do on Christmas Day? PPT 出示课文第 四段,学生交流活动。引出 wake up early 及 have a big lunch。其中 wake 与 cake, lake 对比教学读音,再用起床图片帮助学生理解意思。 T: Whats for the big lunch? 引出 a turkey, pudding,其中 turkey 与 Thursday 联 系,指导读音,pudding 与 put, push 联系指导读音,并在图片上圈出相应物品, 理解意思。并拓展图中的 potato salad。 (板书词组) 学生跟读录音,师板书 have a good time,并说明与 have a lot of fun 同意。 3. Read the whole story after the cartoon together. Step3 After reading 1.Retell the story. 出示课文四张插图,总结回顾 Mike 一家在圣诞节的活动,出示“Tip: 使用 first, next, then, finally 等词能让语言表达有条理。 ” 并让学生四人小组合作,根据 板书及插图每人选一个部分,以第三人称方式复述课文。 师先示范第一部分,边说,边将板书的图片,放到相应的词组。 交流时,让学生上台边说边将其余图片放到相应的位置。 T:(总结)Christmas is a holiday full of love and joy. 2.Talk about our Christmas. T: Mike has a lot of fun at Christmas. Do you want to have a wonderful Christmas?(Yes) Lets imagine and say.(PPT 呈现句子结构) Our Christmas We have a lot of fun at Christmas. First, we buy_. We also buy_. Next, we put _. We _. Then, we _. _. Finally, we _. _. We all have a good time. (并拓展活动,供学生参考:buy Christmas hats, make Christmas cards, have a Christmas party, sing Christmas songs, say “Merry Christmas!” to our family and friends) Ss: 四人一组展开讨论, 口头交流展示。 Step4. Homework First, listen to the tape and read after it. Next, Write a passage about your Christmas. Then, tell your friend about your Christmas. Finally, Learn more about Western holidays. (Read books, Surf the Internet)
