TeachingTeaching proceduresprocedures Step1. Greet the class.(Hello, boys and girls.) Step2. Lead-in. In this class, well review the six types of tenses. First, lets listen to an English song, The Day You Went Away. Play the song and show the lyric of the song for the students. Have them listen and look at the lyric , then find out how many kinds of tenses are used in this song and what they are. Then check the answers with the students. Step3. Revise the usages of the tenses. Give the students a few minutes to discuss the tenses. Then each group teaches one tense to us. (Give them points according to their behaviors) Step4. Check the learning results. Draw a time axis on the blackboard. The axis shows the six types of tenses in the different parts of time. I will describe each tense and the student guess what tense I am descibing, then they should give an example sentence using each tense. Step5. Let the students do the exercises to review the usages of the tenses. Step6. Let the students write a composition about their past, present and future. Step7. Sum up. What have they learned in this lesson? Step 8.
