In the next exam, I made great progress. Then I fell in love with English. Now I become an English teacher. Its so important for me. Teaching aims: Knowledge and ability aims: The Ss can review some words of describing people ;Ss will be able to talk about what people used to be like by using the structure “used to” and can talk about their changes. Technical aims: In this period, the Ss will learn to study with others and how to cooperate in a group. Also, they can learn to conclude what theyve learned. Emotion and attitude aims: By learning this period, the Ss can sense their changes and build their confidence of making some changes; They will be more confident and be a better person in the future. 2. Teaching key and difficult points: Key points: the describing words and the sentence patterns related to “used to” Difficult points: the usage of “used to” 3. Teaching methods: Task-based, pair work, group work methods 4. Teaching aids: PPT, projector 5. Teaching procedures: (1) Warming up: The teacher shows the students the warmest greetings by saying hello to them. (2) Leading in: The teacher guides the students to do a guessing game. Show them pictures of three kids and ask them to guess who they are. Then after guessing, the teacher presents their pictures. In this way, the students will absolutely be interested in what to be learned and the topic talking about what people used to be like can be easily led in. (3)Presentation: The teacher invites several Ss to come to the front and ask the other Ss to describe them from the appearance and the personality.
