Tell students what learning challenges that I met when I was young. And dont be afraid of difficulties. Step Two 1a, 1b 1. Read the statements in 1a, and encourage students to tell us what things are true for themselves. 2. Get some students to tell us their problems in class. 3. Encourage students to discuss what other things are difficult when learning English. Step Three 1c 1d 1.Read the instruction to students to make them understand what they need to do. 2.Have students look through the sentences before listening. 3.Play the recorder and ask them to fill in the blanks while listening. 4.Play it again, get students to check their answers. 5.Do activity 1d in the same way. 6.Get some students to read their answers in class. 7.According to the solutions in 1d, add more useful solutions to their learning problems. Step Four 1e 1. Have students do a survey and tell them what they need to do in this activity, thats to say, they should interview their partner what her or his difficulty in learning English. 2. Encourage students to make a conversation with the partner according to survey. 3. Show them some useful expressions. 4. Ask some pairs to act the conversations they make in class. Step Five Do some practice 1. Ask students to translate some sentences into English. 2. Encourage them to put the sentences in right order to make a complete dialogue. Step Six Homework and Summary 1. Have students write a composition about their learning problems 2. Summarize what we learned in this class with the whole class.
