Warming- up 1. Daily greeting. 2.Check the preview by playing a challenge game 3. Play a song -Days on my past. Let Ss enjoy it. Does these old photos remind you some good memorizes in your childhood? 4.Let some Ss talk about which things they used to like when they were a child? A: I used to like toy cars. B: I used to like playing computer games. . Lead in 1. T: Show some pictures of the school activities, such as having P.E class, having music class, eating ice-cream and so on. 2. Talk about the activities you used to like or dislike very much. e.g. S1. I used to like P.E. class when I was a child. I used to hate music class when I was a child. S2: I used to like ice-cream when I was a child. I used to hate milk and eggs when I was a child. . Speaking Work on 1a 1. Ss look at the pictures in 1a. Try to understand the activities in the pictures. _ music class _ ants and other insects 2. Let some Ss talk about the activities they used to like or dislike very much. 3 .Work in pairs, let students make a conversation like the following sample. A: xxx, Do you have a colorful childhood? B: Yes / No, A: What did you use to like to do doing When you were a child? B: When I was a child, I used to like to do doing What about you? A:. play with my friends chat with my parents play the computer games watch TV keep a small dog. eat candies a lot live with my grandmother drink juice. . Listening Work on 1c: 1. Tell Ss to read the sentences in 1c and try to understand the meaning of them. 1) _ I didnt use to like tests. 2) _ We used to walk to school. 3) _ I used to hate P.E. class. 4) _ I used to be on the soccer team. 2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. Play the recording again and check the sentences Ss hear. 3. Check the answers: Work on 1d: 1. Let Ss read the sentences in 1d first. Tell Ss to listen again and fill in the blanks with the right words. Girl 2. Play the recording again for the Ss to listen and write the words. 3. Ss listen to the recording carefully and try to write the right words. 4. Check the answers with the class. V Free talk In the past, did you use to do something not very good? And do you do it better now? Think about some changes in your life and write down your own sentences. Then ask some students to write the changes on the blackboard. Play a game in groups please share your changes with your group members. 1.choose a reporter to write down the changes of all the group members. 2.then the reporter read two members changes to us. Let other groups guess who the student is. Report: The student used to used to like but now the student who is the student?
