    3、hing procedure: Step 1. Warm up and lead in. Ask the students if they like music and what kinds of music they know. Tell them some different kinds of music and show them in picture 1. Let the students have a free talk on the feelings that music brings to them. Invite them to enjoy a music video toge

    4、ther. Ask them if they like the music and why they like it. Let them talk about their preferences on music. Show them how to use the sentence structures of this unit. Tell them where the music video is from.(A famous movie called “Titanic”) Ask them if they love watching movies and what kinds of mov

    5、ies they know. Show them some kinds of movies and the reasons why people like these different kinds. Step 2. More topics Give the students two questions: What kind of bands do you like?What kind of book do you like? Give them some examples to talk about likes and preferences. Encourage them to talk

    6、about theirs freely. Step 3. Listening Ask the students to listen to the material carefully and try to finish the exercises on the book. After listening to it for the first time, check the answers with them. Listen to the material for the second time, and try to write down more details in part 1c. C

    7、heck the answers with the students. Step4. Making conversations and role-play Ask the students to make conversations following the patterns in the material. Talk about likes and dislikes with their partners.Remeber to use the sentence structures weve learned in this unit. Then, ask some of them to show us their coversations. Step5. Homework Remember the language points and grammar. Read the passage in 2b.
