I like writers who explain things well. I love movies that are scary. 2. Ability objects: Listen what Michael likes and why. Talk

    2、about hobbies on books, movies, bands and subjects by using relative clauses with that and which. Talk about your favorite writer and teachers by using relative clauses with who. 3. Moral object: Everyone has his/her own feelings and opinions, everyone is special and we should try to be better. Teac

    3、hing key and difficult points: Train studentslistening and speaking skills. Teaching tools: ppt, multi-media, blackboard, real tools. Teaching methods: Listening and speaking, Pair work, Group work, Agame Teaching procedures: Step1. Lead in Listen to a song, Jingle bells. Say, I like the music, beca

    4、use I can dance to it. That is to say, I like music that I can dance to. Ask them to read the title of this unit. Ask them, when you listen to the song, which day do you think of? (Christmas Day) Say, My son likes Christmas Day best, because he can get a present from Santa Claus. Do you like to get

    5、a present today? Divide the students into groups, and tell them the group that finish the tasks best and get the most stars will get presents today. (Students revise relative clauses by playing the game.) Step3. Task2 Pair work Tell students what I like to do in my free time. Ask two s

    7、tudents what they usually do in their free time to relax themselves. Focus attention on the chart in 1a and the conversation in 1d. Ask students to fill in the chart, and then work in pairs to make their own conversations. Invite several pairs to present their conversations. (Students work in pairs

    8、to practice speaking skills.) Step4. Task3 Listening Focus attention on the picture in 1b, point out the things in the picture. Ask the students to predict what Michael likes according to the picture. Collect some sentences and correct the sentences, students read the sentences. Ask students to list

    9、en and write the three things that Michael likes in the first column. Check the answers Play the recording again, and ask the students to write why Michael likes each thing in the second column. Check the answers. Play the recording a third time, ask students to repeat some key sentences. Summarize

    10、some listening methods for the students. (Students make predictions about the listening material and listen for details. Do the listening activity to improve students listening skills and teach them some listening methods. ) Step5. Task4:Asurvey Watch a short video with the students. Give students a

    11、 chart, ask them to work in groups to talk about their favorite teachers / subjects and the reasons. After discussion, the captain of each group gives a report. In their conversations and reports, there must be relative clauses. Invite each group to give a report. (Students work in groups to practic
