Unit 7 Teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothes. Section A(1a-2d)教案 一教学目标:根据英语课程标准关于总目标的具体描述,结合本单元 的教材内容,我按语言目标、技能目标、文化意识,情感目标四个方面将本课时 的教学目标细化: 1、语言目标 1)、语言结构:含情态动词的被动语态 should(not) be allowed to 2)、语言功能:谈论规章制度;表达同意或不同意。 3)、知识目标: 词汇:allow, drive, pierce, driver, license, silly, earring, 等。 句型:I think students should be allowed to choose their own clothes. I agree. / I disagree. Do you think sixteen-year-olds should be allowed to have a part-time job? No, I dont think so. 2. 技能目标:熟练运用 “should (not) be allowed to do”谈论应该被允许和不应 该被允许做某事;熟练运用 “be (not) allowed to do”谈论被允许和不被允许做某 事; 熟练运用 “I agree / disagree.”或“ I dont agree.”表达自己的观点。 3. 文化意识目标: 了解中外审美观的差异,形成自己的审美观,展示个性; 了解中西方关于青少年的不同文明准则。 4. 情感目标:学会谈论自己应该被允许做的事情和不应该被允许做的事情。学 生勇于发表自己的观点和意见,表达同意和不同意;通过了解和反思自己的言 行举止是否符合中学生日常行为准则、规范自己的言行,养成自觉遵守规则的 良好习惯和优良品德;正确看待“家规”“班规”“校规”等,并能认真遵守; 明白父 母、教师的合理建议对自己成长的重要性。 二、教学重点及难点 重点: 1、如何运用 should be allowed to 结构表达自己对各种规章制度的看法。 2、表达同意和不同意。 难点:含情态动词的被动语态结构 should(not) be allowed to get ones ears pierced , “get sth done”这种结构的短语 三、教法(教学方式和手段) 小组学习法、多媒体辅助教学、情景交际教学法等。 四、教学过程: Step1. Revision Ask students some family rules: T: Can you watch TV on school nights ? S: Yes, I can . T: That means you are allowed to watch TV. Present: “be (not) allowed to do sth” on the blackboard Present more sentences. T: Can you play with mobile phones while you are doing your homework? S: Yes, I can. T: That means you are allowed to play with mobile phones T: Do your parents allow you to hang out with friends on weekends? S: No, they dont. T: That means you re not allowed to hang out with friends on weekends. Show some school rules beginning with “Dont” with pictures, then change them into sentences using passive voice ”be allowed to do “. Dont eat in class -Students are not allowed to eat in class. Dont listen to music in class.-Students arent allowed to listen to music in class. Dont be late for class.-Students are not allowed to be late for class. T: Now talk about youre allowed and not allowed to do at school S: Were (not) allowed to. Step2. Presentation First lead the students to read the new words and expressions, then show the students a drivers licence, T: I have got a drivers licence, and Im allowed to drive now. Do you want to drive? (Some may say Yes) But I dont think you should be allowed to drive. Show some statements with pictures and key phrases, and present “should be allowed to do”on the blackboard .And explain the passive voice .Lead them to read. Step3. Preparation before listening. 1a. Read the statements below. Circle A for agree or D for disagree. Ask some students their opinions. Step4. Listening T: Before listening, read the conversations in the picture and guess whats the relationship between the two speakers. 1b Listen and circle T for true or F for false. Step5. Listen again and fill the blanks. Step6 1c pactice in pairs T: look at the statements in la and make conversations: A: I dont think sixteen-year-olds should be allowed to drive. B: I agree. They arent serious enough. Step7 Listening T: look at the picture and guess “What is the boy doing? And What are the two girls doing?” 2a. What does Molly think of Kathys statements? Listen and circle A for Agree, D for Disagree or DK for Doesnt Know. Step8.Listening 2b Listen again. What are Kathys and Mollys reasons? Number their reasons in the correct order. Step9. practice 2c T: Make a list of things teenagers should and should not be allowed to do. Fill in the chart and then practice with your partner. A: Do you think teenagers should.? B: Yes, I ./No, I. Step10. 2d role-play the conversation T: look at the pictures and guess where Wu Lan and Sandy will go. S: An art museum. T: Now read the conversation and answer the following questions: 1. Whats the relationship between Sandy and Wu Lan? 2. Where are they going for the school trip this year? 3. What did Mr. Smith say about the rules in the museum? 4. How does Sandy feel about the trip? Why? 5. What does Sandy think they should be allowed to do in the museum?
