Am I supposed to get up at 7 oclock? was / were supposed to 常用来把本应该发生的事与实际发生的事进行对照， 可译为“本应该”。如： They were supposed to arrive at nine, but they were late. 2. be expected to 表达“被期许 （预期） 会做某事, 希望做某事， 表示一种可能性。 e.g. She was expected to arrive before dinner. 希望她晚餐前到达。 be supposed
