Analysis of the Teaching Material It is the last lesson of the fourth Unit. In this unit, the teaching material revolves the topic of Christmas. It tells the story of Li Ming in Canada with Jenny and his classmates. Since Christmas is one of the childrens favorite holidays, students are eager to learn about this important festival and therefore have a strong interest in learning. This lesson is a review class that is very colorful in Western cultural festivals. The main purpose of this lesson is to help students to learn about the traditional costoms of Christmas and to cultivate their cross-cultural awareness so that they can achieve the goal of language learning in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Part2. Analysis of the students The subject of this lesson is the students of Grade Six. It is known to us that the kids of this age are innocent, lively and have a strong desire for expression and curiosity.They have a certain English foundation and have the ability to collect information by themselves. They are full of curiosity and desire for Western culture. Before class, the children put up a new Christmas tree in the classroom and prepared Christmas gifts to create a deep Christmas atmosphere. In class, I used information technology and other means to try to provide them with a real language environment, so that they can fully reflect what they have learned in this context. Part3.
