Some new words helping at home. 热身时学生所唱的歌曲的歌词是由在家里做家务的一些短语 而构成，唱歌为了活跃课堂气氛，也是整节课的号角。课前导入所播放的一段 非常具吸引力的视频也是巧虎在家里做家务的一些情节，和 story 部分对学生 的教育意义，是完全相吻合的。这个视频起着承上启下的作用，从乐虎的引入 到后一环节，自然过渡。而且视频之后设置两个问题，让学生感知本单元的重 点句型。阅读完 story 之后，再对 helping at home 这个概念再拓展，让学生 明白可以在家里帮助父母做家务，同时在学校里，在社区中，都可以做一个热 爱劳动，关爱他人的人。还有一段总结性，有感染力的视频，对这条主线的进 一步的情感教育，达到情感的升华。 story 部分中的句型是现在进行时，而现在进行时的基本要素是某一特定 时间、某一特定地点，因此首先向学生表明发生在家里，Tony，Jenny，Gogo 正在做什么。而且在阅读文章之前，给出一些相应的声音比如水声、图片一角 的提示，让学生猜测 Jenny 在做什么。有水声，在家里帮忙，会是洗什么东西 呢？设疑让学生有想去探寻答案的好奇，更加认真深入的去理解文章。 对于 story 中 Gogo 正在等待一句此内容，也引发老师和学生的思考，这样 的行为是否正确呢，这样的讨论切合课文主题，符合此课主线，这也能够再次 教育学生关爱他人从小事做起。 本课完成语言点的学习，也对学生的语言技能进行培养。组织学生合作学 习，彼此交流所学的语言句型。只是学生还不太敢于表现自己，老师就要考虑 课堂活动设计是否符合学生能力水平，或是考虑一些方法或技巧让学生能够放 下包袱，在课堂上能更自如表现。
