Teaching procedure: Step 1: Warming-up. (1) Greetings. (2) Free talk. -Can you sing? -Yes, I can. -Please sing. 2 (3) Sing a song: What are they doing? Oh, youre singing Step 2: Revision. (1) Look and say out the words. T: Paint. Ss: Painting. (2) Read out the words with gestures. (3) Word game: Once or twice. Step 3: Presentation. (1) Game: Act and guess. Ask one student hides himself behind the teachers desk. Have others guess what is he / she doing behind the desk. Ss: What are you doing? S1: Im playing. (2) Talk about the activities in school. PPT: Show some photos of their classmates, talk about the activities theyre doing. -Who is he? - Hes Yue Tianqi. - Whats he doing? - Hes reading. (3) Practice in groups of four. (4) Talk about the pictures in pairs. (5) Game: Sit back to back and guess. Have two students sit back to back. Do the action and guess. - Are you reading? - No, Im writing. Step 4: Extension. 3 (1) Look at the pictures in Activity 1, have Ss ask and answer in group. T ask some Ss to answer the questions: Whats Jenny doing? Whats Tony doing? Etc. 2. Make up the story.
