Ask students to sing the song and do the actions. Try to get students ready for class. At the same time, review the sounds of A, B and C, and s

Leading in. Lead in the story of Gogos trip. R

    6、ead the story to the students, ask them to find out what animals Gogo meet in the story. (Stick the picture cards of “elephant, dog, duck, fish, fox, frog” on Bb when students find them out.) Step . Presentation and drills of the letters and sounds with the help of videos. 1. Go on with Gogos story:

    7、 Where are they going? The first place is the Letter Factory. 2. Then, the teacher plays the video for students to watch and learn the 3 sounds of the alphabets. 3.After students watch the video, ask them, “What sound does it make?” 4. Then help students to read some words on PPT. 5. Teach E, and F

    8、in the same ways. 6. Give students more words to practice. Step . Consolidation of the sounds by playing games 1. Go on with Gogos story. Mother letters are coming to find their children. Ask students to classify the words of animals according to their sounds and move the pictures to the letters. 2.

    9、 Go on with Gogos story. The second place is the game park. Ask students to play the game to consolidate the sounds of D, E, F. (1). Game 1: Who is the Sniper? Direction: Listen and “shot” the letters by circling them. Students will try to differ the similar words by listening to their sounds. (2).

    10、Game 2: Open Sesame Direction: Listen and rearrange the letters. If you are right, the door of the castle will open and you will know whats in it. Students will try to spell the words according to the sounds. (3). Game 3: Find treasures. There are a lot of word treasures in the letter forest. Work i

    11、n groups, try to find some words with the letters, and stick them on the cards. 4 Students will try to make their words with the letter cards. Step . Extension of the sounds by reading a story Go on with Gogos story. The third place is the story land. Lets read the story. 1. To ignite students readi

    12、ng interest, focus on the cover of the story book, introduce “Dads Pet House”, and ask students to guess whats in it. 2. Ask students to read the story by themselves. 3. Read the story and help students to understand it by pictures and body language. 4. Gogo is going home. Hes chanting. Play the chant for students to follow. Step . Homework. To read the story at home.
