Reading for Pleasure - The Girl in the Pagoda教学设计 1. 教学内容分析 本节课的教学内容是新标准英语(三起)五年级下册Reading for Pleasure 部分中的The Girl in the Pagoda。故事讲述的是一个女孩被妖怪掳走,关在一座宝塔里。妖怪反复 逼迫女孩嫁给他,女孩并没有屈服。最终,女孩用自己的智慧求救并成功获 救。 2. 学生情况分析 本节课的教学对象是五年级的学生,他们已经有了一定的英语学习基础和自 主学习能力,能够用已学的知识分析并解决相关的问题。学生对于英语绘本 阅读比较感兴趣,本节课从学生的兴趣出发,设计相关的环节和活动,培养 学生的思维品质和相关能力。 3. 教学目标 知识与技能目标: (1) 学生能理解:pagoda, sat, blew, at the top of, in front of, marry, frightened, at the foot of, threw, hit, flew, save. (2) 学生能够阅读并理解本节课的故事。 (3) 学生能够用正确的语音和语调朗读故事。 (4) 学生能够通过小组合作的方式表演本节课的故事。 学习策略目标: 培养学生浏览、略读、预测等阅读策略。 情感态度目标: 培养学生乐于助人的良好品质。学会在遇到危险时,勇敢面对,想办法保 护自己,逃离危险。 4. 教学重难点 重点:学生能用正确的语音、语调朗读故事,能够理解故事大意,并回答老 师提出的相关问题。 难点:学生能够小组合作表演故事的内容。 5、教学过程与方法 Step 1 Pre-reading 1. Greeting. 2. Sing a song. - Fly,Fly in the Sky 【设计意图】:用学过的英文歌曲作为热身,活跃课堂气氛。 3. Talk about the picture book. - The Girl in the Pagoda T: Boys and girls, Do you like reading?Do you like reading picture books? Look! I made a picture book for you. This is the cover of the picture book. What can you see in this picture? S1: I can see a beautiful girl. S2: I can see a pagoda. T:Yes! 教师讲授新词pagoda. 并指向黑板上贴的宝塔. This is a pagoda. And the name of the picture book is The Girl in the Pagoda.教师出示课题,学生齐读。 【设计意图】:将课本中的故事制作成一本绘本,让学生观察绘本的封面, 导入本节课的课题。 T: This class we will have a competition between boys team and girls team. I want to go home. T: Good job! 【设计意图】:让学生理解并表演此场景,可以让其切实感受一下,由此 为后面的年轻人生气,女孩的想办法求救埋下伏笔,自然过渡。 T:How did the young man feel? Was he happy? sad? angry? Ss: He was very angry. T: What did he say ? 让学生听并选出答案。 Ss: Then you will stay in this pagoda. T:Can you say it angrily?让学生感知模仿年轻人的语气。 T: After that, the young man visited the girl every day, but the girl didnt want to marry him. 学生看图观察,理解课文。 3.Watch and answer学习故事中图5和图6的内容 T:Now lets watch the video and think about these questions.
