Review Module Unit 1 Lesson period:35 minutes Teaching Objectives: 1.knowledge objectives:Students will review how to use sentences “Whats your favourite color?” “My favourite colour is .” “Do you like.? “Yes,I do./No,I dont.”“I like./I dont like.” “Have you got.” “Yes,I have./No,I havent.” 2.Ability Objectives: students will know how to get personal information from others and prepare something for others based on the information theyve got. 3.Moral Objectives:Students will be confident to get to know more about others by talking to them in English. Key points and difficult points: Key points: how to get information by using “Whats your favourite color?”“Do you like.? “Have you got.” Difficult points: how to analyze and conclude all the information about someone,then pick a present for him/her. Teaching methods:The situational approach; Task-based language teaching Teaching aids: a green coat, a red sweater, Teaching procedures: 1. Warming up (3mins) 1.1 Sing a song: Colours. 1.2 Let students think about how to help teacher pick a present for her brother. 2. Review and practice(7 mins) 2.1 Point and say. After showing a conversation between teacher and her brother,students willl say “ My favourite colour is.” when teacher point to a colour block and ask “Whats your favourite colour?”. Then a group of students ask questions while teacher points to the colour blocks and others answer questions. 2.2 Listen and do. After showing a conversation between teacher and her brother,students will listen to the teacher and change their position while answer teachers questions. For example,teacher will ask: “ Do you like football?” If their answer is “Yes, I do.”,they will sit down. If their answer is “No,I dont.”,they will stand up. 2.3 Ask and answer. There will be four students stand forward the whiteboard,answer the questions of the whole class by using “Yes,I do/No,I dont.” 2.4 Brainstorming. Students will talk about anything that they can express by using “I like.” and “I dont like.” 2.5 Train,train,train. After showing a conversation between teacher and her brother,students will be devided into four groups. Students will speak a sentence “ Have you got.” “Yes,I have./No,I havent” one by one within 50 seconds. The more they can say, the better. 3. Consolidation(15mins) Pair work. Supposed that todays student As birthday,students B will ask A each one question and tell students ,they will base on the answers to pick one present for A. 4. Homework Make a survey about your family and write it down. Whiteboard design: Whats your favourite color? My favourte colour is. Do you like.? Yes,I do. / No,I dont. Have you got.? Yes,I have. / No,I havent. His/Her favourite colour is. He/She likes.He/She havent got. A present
