Preparation 1. Duty report. 2. Greetings (Purpose : Get the students ready for class.) Warmer 1.Chant together.(Module 7 Unit 1,Activity 1) (How many animals can you see? There is an elephant under the tree. How many animals can you see? There are two tigers in ther tree.) (Purpose : Let the studentsattention return to the classroom.) 2.Divide groups. T:I will divide you into 6 groups.Each group is a zoo.If you did a good job,I will give your zoo an animal.After class,we will check which group get the most animals.And you need to use these animals to decorate your zoo. (Purpose:Let students actively participate in the classroom through group competition.) Presentation 1.Show PPT of pics: watch and say T shows the animal and Ss say to review the words of animals. (Purpose:1.Review the words of animals. 2.Lead to activity 1 and learn the sentences from activity 1 at the same time.) Learning tasks A1 1. Describe the pic. T:At the zoo,what animals are there? Ss:.(talk freely) T:(point to the pic)Whats this? Ss:Horse. T:So we can say”There is a horse.” Ss:There is a horse. (Show some horses.) T:How many horses? Ss:3. T:So we can say”There are.” (Write the sentence pattern ”There are.” on the blackboard.) Ss:There are three horses. T:Yes!And we can say ”There are some horses,one,two,three.” (Teach “some”.) Ss follow to say. The same way to learn the remaining sentences. (Purpose: Make a brainstorming through free talking, and then learn the content of Activity One.) 2.Enjoy the video. (Purpose: Get the main idea of Activity One.) 3.Repeat with rhythem. (Purpose: Let the Ss be familiar with the chant.) 4.Repeat with rhythem.Add actions at the same time. (Purpose: Let the Ss be more familiar with the chant.Adding actions can make more fun.) 5.Chant together (Purpose: To see if the Ss master the chant.) SB2 1.Identify the pictures. T:As we can see,there are so many animals at the zoo.Look,(points to the mother panda)this is a .? Ss:Mother panda! T:(points to the baby panda)And this is a .? Ss:Baby panda! (Purpose: T need to walk around the classromm to see if the Ss point to the right sentences and master the text.) 8.Read it in roles. Act in groups and show on stage. (Purpose: Ss like to performing.According to this way,Ss can further master the text and increase the interest of the English class.T write down the key sentence) Practice 1.watch and say. T:(PPT)Look,where is it? Ss:Zoo. T:Yes.As we know,there are so many animals at the zoo.Please watch and tell me what are they. Remember the pattern:”There are+number+colour+animal.” (PPT show the picures quickly,then choose Sys to say.) (Purpose: To test studentsreaction ability and mastery of the text.) 2.This is our zoo.(group work) Work in groups.T gives Ss a picture of the zoo and some animals.Ss need to stick the animals on the picture to complete their zoo.
