Part 2. Teaching Aims. 1. To enable the Ps to understand and speak the words and perps correctly; ensure the Ps can use the sentences in a real situation. 2. To develop Pss abilities of listening and speaking, writing, and working in groups. 3. To lead Ps to show their loveliness to the animals. Part 3. key points: 1. To help Ps ask and answer the questions “There are some tortoises.” “Where are they?” “They are in front of the monkeys”. 2. To enable Ps to study in groups and co-operate skillfully. 3. To develop Pss interest in English. Part 4. Difficult points: To help Ps ask and answer the questions “There are some tortoises.” “Where are they?” “They are in front of the monkeys” and make sure they can use these sentences correctly. Part 5. Teaching methods: In this lesson I will mainly use the “Task-based” teaching methods. Part 6. Studying ways: 1. Let the Ps pass “Observation-Practice” to study language. 2. Teach Ps how to master the key sentences and how to communicate with others. Part 7. Teaching aids: A recorder, Word cards, A box, Some toys, PowerPoint. Part 8. Teaching procedures. First, I will divide the Ps into 6 groups. Second, before class, the Ps have previewed this lesson, and I will give them few minutes to finish the following steps: 1. Ps communicate their problems with the group members; 2. To solve the problems they can; 3. The recorders record the problems they dont know; 4. The group leaders report the problems to the T. I will finish this lesson in five steps. Step 1. Warming up and review. 1. Daily greetings. 2. Lets review. I will use the box and the toy rabbit to review the sentence structure There is. and preps on/in/behind/next to. Step 2. Presentation. 1. Present“in front of” Since we have reviewed Behind, now I will use Behind to brings up in front of. In this part, I will let the Ps learn to put “in front of” in the sentence structure There is. and practice it. 2. Present the sentence:There are. I will still use the box and the toy rabbits to present this part. And then lead Ps to see some pictures to have a better understanding of the sentence structure “There are.”. Lets play: I will show 2 pictures, Ps will finish the sentences according to the dice number they have threw. Show time: Ps read the sentences, if they do a good job, give them 2 stars. 3. Lets talk: Picture 1. I will create a situation: Today we are going to the zoo, but before we go inside, we need to answer the following questions. Now Lets listen to the tape. Please answer the questions. Lets listen to it again and check the answers. Ps read after the tape. Work in groups. T prepare a game, Ps will choose the number first, and then do some related practice. Step 3. self test. T give every group a paper with the questions. Let the Ps finish the questions according to this picture. Step 4. Summarize. 1. There are two rabbits. 2. Where are they? 3. They are in front of the tortoises. Step 5. Homework. 1.
