Benjamin Franklin(1706-1790)was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States and helped draft the Declaration of Independence. Apart from being a successful statesm

    2、an, he was also well known as a leading American author, printer and publisher, successful diplomat, creative scientist and inventor. Instructions A small cross of two pieces of light wood. Tie the corners of a handkerchief to the points of the cross. Add a tail to the frame. Tie a long string to th

    3、e cross. Fix a sharp piece of metal to the top of the longer stick of the cross. Fasten a key to the end of the long string. Tie a silk ribbon to the string. For example, the title “Franklins Experiment: How Much Is True?” makes it clear what question is being answered within the essay.     8、e? e.g. I think a great scientist should be patient, serious, brave, careful, creative and imaginative 4) In what ways do scientists contribute to society? They establish truth, make scientific discoveries and inventions, thus pushing our human society forward. Explain your understanding of the sayi

    9、ng “Seeing is believing”, and then give a talk about it. You may use information in the passage as examples. Your understandingSupporting details We shouldnt believe what we dont see.
