Show ss a picture about themselves when they take running exercise in the early morning. Ask ss to make a conclusion about the benefits of working out in the morning. Ss: Ss have a
3、lready previewed the article Benefits of working out in the morning and are expected to finish the following chart: Working out in the morning Benefits 1. 2. 3. 4. One of the students will be invited to summarize the benefits of working out in the morning. T: Ask ss to think about if there are other
4、 good suggestions to keep healthy. 设计目的: 导入部分以引导学生思考保持健康和进行体育锻炼的好方 法方法, 产生了信息不对等, 真实触发了学生阅读课文的兴趣和动机。 Step II Reading comprehension T: Ask ss to read the story of Kayla and learn from her about how to keep fit. Ss: Read Kaylas story and answer the following questions: 1. What did Kayla use to worry a
5、bout? 2. What did she do to solve that problem? Did that work? 3. What changed her? How did she change? (the chart) The pastThe present Ss are expected to read the whole article individually and silently. They are supposed to find out the answers by themselves and then share with their partners in e
6、ach group. T: Walk around and give necessary help. Invite some ss to show their answers to each question.
