He is a scientist.” Students change the dialogue to past indefinite tense. Who was he? He was a scientist. Who was she? She was a scientist. 2.Practicing sentence patterns Teacher show many pictures about profession and ask “Who was he/ she?”, students answer the question according to the disappeared pictures. Eg.Who was he? He was a doctor. Step III Listen and say 1.Present Part2 listen and say, students listen to the tape about Part2. 2. Students read Part2 together,and then recite it. 3.Students work in pairs,and say the dialogues like example sentences according to the pictures in part2. 4.Students write the dialogue on their exercise book. 【设计意图】引导学生学习新句型,并通过图片创设合理的交际情景, 让学生达到在学习新知、巩固新知的目的。 Step Learn the text 1.Students listen to the tape about Part1. 2.Students read the text by themselves for two minutes; 3.After the reading,students answer the questions: a.Who was Marie Curie? b.Who was Norman Bethune? c.Was Norman Bethune a hero?
