    4、ation. Teaching Aids: CAI, Cards, Prizes Teaching Procedures: Step 1. Warm-up 1. Greetings. 2. Lets sing and dance “My weekend”. Step 2. Preview 1. Teach: Weekend T: Saturday and Sunday, we call them weekend. 2. Lets chant “Every weekend”. Ss chant and clap their hands. Chant: Every weekend I read a

    5、 book. Every weekend I see a film . Every weekend I stay at home. Every weekend I watch TV. What do you do? 3. Ask and answer. T sings“I like to do things on the weekend. What do you do on the weekend?”Ss answer“I often. I always. I sometimes.” Step 3. Presentation 1. Show a calendar and teach: “las

    6、t”“ weekend”. Introduce the core idea of this lesson“I was very happy last weekend.” T: March 31stwas last Saturday. April 1stwas last Sunday. We call them“last weekend”. 2. Chant and teach the key phrases in the lyrics. Teach the original form and the past tense of the verb phrases in the lyrics. S

Teach: stay/stayed at home read/read a book watch/watched TV 4. Explain the changing rules of the past tense of the verb in the Simple Past Tense. Regular verbs shou

    9、ld add “ed”at the end of the word. Irregular verbs need to be remembered! 5. Explain the pronunciation of the past tense of the verbs. 6. Lets chant. T&Ss: Play, played, played ping-pong.
