    2、me for the students to practice the sentence pattern: Its warm in Kunming. Teaching aims: 1. To enable the students to listen, speak and read the new words: hot, cold, warm, cool, weather. 2. To enable the students to understand and say the sentences: Its warm/cold/cool/ in Beijing/ 3. To use the se

    3、ntence “ Its warm/ in Beijing/” to describe the weather in proper situation. To train the students abilities of listening, speaking and working with partners. 4. Make the students have successful feeling, increase their interest and set up self-confidence in language study. Key points and difficult

    4、points: 1. Let the students master and use the words: hot, cold, warm, cool, weather. 2. Let the students use the sentences in the proper situation. 3. The pronunciation of word: weather. Teaching methods: Language is used for communication. To cultivate the students abilities of listening and speak

    5、ing, and to arouse their interest, Ill mainly use the following teaching methods in this lesson: TPR. Task-based method. Communicative method. Discussing method. Teaching aids: CAI and word cards. Teaching periods: One period. Teaching procedures: Step 1. Warm-up At the beginning of the class, lets

    6、chant and do actions. Follow me, OK? 【 Purpose: TPR is used here. It can enliven the classroom atmosphere and get ready for the next step. Chant is more active than other ways to review the learned knowledge.】 Step 2. Presentation 1. T: I like watching cartoons. Today I want to watch cartoon with yo

    7、u. But first I have some questions for you. Look here. The first question is “Whats he talking about”; the second question is “Which name of city can you hear”; the last question is “Can you hear some words about weather”. 2. Now please watch carefully. 3. OK. Can you answer my question now? A. What

    8、s he talking about? Ss: Weather report. T: Yes. He is talking about weather. (Teaching “weather” and “report”.) B. Which name of city can you hear? Students say the names of cities. Teacher pastes the cards of cities on the board. Then students read the names of cities after the teacher. Teacher sho

Read after the teacher; read alone; read in pairs; a chain game to read the words; teacher does actions, students say the words together; a student does actions, another student says the words. 6.
