Use a chant to greet and divide the whole class into four groups. T: Hello, boys and girls. Ss: Hello, teacher. T: Welcome back to school. Nice to see you again. Now s

    6、how me you fingers:1 ,2,3,4. Everybody, stand up. Everybody, sit down.4,3,2,1. Point to the window, point to the door, point to the ceiling, point to the floor. Ss follow the T and do actions. T: Well done! Wow! Our classroom is so clean and tidy. I like our classroom best in our school ?And do you

    7、like our school? Ss: Yeah! Draw the gate of our school and divide the whole class into four groups. T: There are four ways to school. If you can answer my questions actively and correctly, your group will get a step. The first group to get to school will be todays winner. 2. Watch a video about the

    8、three-dimensional model of our school. T: Lets watch a video about the three-dimensional model of our school . Tell me where our classroom is. Ss: Its on the second floor. Lead in new words:first floor, second floor. Purpose of designing: Interest is the best teacher. The chant and the video can aro

    9、use studentslearning interest, and form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss.At the same time, Ss can review the learnt knowledge for the next step. Step 2: Presentation 1.Presenting the new words and key sentences In this part, four new words will be introduced by many beautiful picture

    10、s and teaching cards. T: This is a beautiful school. Lets go and do something in the school! What else can you see in the school? Now please look at the picture. Whats this? S: Its a library. T:Where is the library? Its on the first floor.(emphasize “the first floor”) T: What can you see in the libr

    11、ary? S: I can see many books. T: Yes. We can read some books in the library. What should we do in the library? We should be quiet and take care of the books. Go to the library. Read a book. ShhhBe quiet. Learn new word: teachersoffice, garden, playground (in the same way) 2. Lets learn Play the vide

    12、o in Lets learn and ask the Ss to listen and imitate the dialogue .Astudent will be chosen to lead the whole class to read aloud with expression. 3. Lets do In this part, play the video in Lets learn and ask the Ss to watch and imitate. a. Speaking and acting T: Go to the garden/ library/ S: Water t

    13、he flower/ (speak or act) b. Have a PK to read and act Finally, the whole class will choose and reward the best group. Step 3. Practice 1. Design a poem with the key words and key sentences in this unit and play it with the help of my body language. The poem will be chanted like this: ABCDEFG Teache

    14、rsoffice on the first floor HIJKLMN playground, library and garden. OPQ ,OPQ. Let me show you around. Library , library Wheres the library? Is it on the second floor? No, it isnt. No, it isnt. Is it on the first floor? Yes, it is. Yes, it is. 2 .Practice the new words and phrases What is missing? Th

    15、e teacher can ask the students to read all the word cards in his hand one by one and then he will put one card behind his back quickly. Now he mysteriously asks “Whats missing?” The students whose answers are right may get the stars for their groups 3. Role-play Ask the Ss to role play the dialogue

    16、in Lets learn and then make their own dialogues. Then two students in each group will be chosen to act it out. Purpose of designing: The poem is much easier for students to remember the new words and sentences. The role-play method are much easier for the Ss to use the language in a real situation.

    17、Practicing the dialogue in different ways can cultivate pupilsbasic abilities of their listening and speaking. Proper competition can arouse Ssinterest in English learning. Group cooperation can develop their team spirit. Step4 Consolidation and Extension 1. Group work: The teacher will give each gr

    18、oup a card and demonstrate first and then invite some students to take his/her place. For example, one student says, “Go to the library.” The other student will run to the library group and the group members will say ,”Read a book” and do actions. The rest of the students will say,”ShhhBe quiet and

    19、do actions.” 2. Ask the Ss to discuss in groups what we can do if we want to make the school more beautiful. Then show them the school rules. 1). Be quiet in the library. 2). Dont drink or eat in the classroom. 3). Dont walk on the grass or pick the flowers. 4). Dont push in the hallway. Purpose of

    20、designing: Input is for output. Group discussion can give students a chance to practice their oral English and develop their sense of cooperation. This topic will make the students have deep love for their school and school life. VI.Summary & homework (1) Watch a video about our school and sing an E

    21、nglish song: Our School Will Shine. (2) Todays assignments: You must do: Design your dream school and introduce it to your parents in English. You can do: Exercise 1 or Exercise 2 Purpose of designing: To recall what they have learned and consolidate what they have gained. VII.Blackboard design Purp

    22、ose of designing: Key contents on the blackboard can favor students to knowledge grasping. VIII.Teaching reflections During the whole class, the teacher acts as a facilitator to arouse students interests and curiosity of study so that students can obtain knowledge by themselves. The activities are from easy to challenging, so students from different levels can learn and improve.
