UnitUnit 6 6 tasktask 1111 Teaching aims 1.Knowledge aims 1)The students are able to listen, speak, read and write the phrases:a lot of、be in、such as、like sth best and so on. 2)The students can master the sentence structures: Which season do you like best? Winter. I often play in the snow. 2.Ability aims 1)The students are able to use the sentence structures to talk about the topic about introduce myself. 2)The students can develop their abilities of listening,speaking, reading and writing. 3.Emotional aims The students get to know themselves more by using their own words. II Important and difficult points 1.important point: The students can use the sentence: What subject do you like best?Why? Which school are you in? Which class are you in? 2.Difficult point: The students can use the phrases: a lot of、be in、such as、like sth best and so on III.Teaching methods: Task-based teaching method, communicative teaching method, situational teaching method IV. Teaching course Step1 Warming up 1.Greet the students warmly as usual 2.Sing an English song “Myself” 3.Brainstorm We have a brainstorm. Ask the students to say as many phrases as possible about their everyday life. Purpose: We sing an English song to form a better English learning atmosphere. We use the brainstorm to review the learned knowledge and lead in the new knowledge. Step2 Presentation 1.learn the new phrases Ask the students to see a picture and guess what they are doing. (T: Look at the Picture 1. S:His dad, mom. T: What else? S:Their job. T:Are they at home? Lead in the new phrase “go on a picnic”. Learn the other new words by body language and stick pictures. 2.learn the new sentences Ask the students to listen to the dialogue and choose the best answer “-What is your hobby? -I have lots of hobbies,such as.” Listen again and check the answer. Ask the students to ask and answer in pairs like this “Who is your English teacher?Do you like English?” Purpose: Use different ways to arouse the students learning interest. Step 3 Practice Ask the students to look at the pictures and there are some key words under the pictures. Make dialogues in pairs. For example, Picture1“Which school are you in?Which class are you in?” Then ask some pairs to present their dialogues. Step 4 Production Make an interview Work in groups as before. Just imagine one of you is a reporter from our school newspaper. Interview your group members about their favorite seasons and activities. “WWhat does your father do? What does your mother do?” Fill in the form on the PPT. Then give a report. Purpose: Task-based teaching method is used here to develop the students abilities of communication and cooperation.
