This lesson is the 1 period of Unit 6. Its a very important lesson in this unit even in this book. Its a typical listening and speaking lesson. If the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful for the Ss to learn the rest of this unit. 二、学情分析二、学情分析 Most students of grade 6 have learned English at least for three year, and have mastered a certain number of vocabularies. Whats more, they have formed some learning methods and learning habits. They can use their own speaking and listening skills in this lesson. However, the students are still poor in learning English, especially they are afraid to speak English in public occasion. So the teachers should pay more attention to that and try to guide and encourage the students to speak English loudly in class. 三、三、教学目标教学目标 1. Knowledge objectives: (1) By using pictures and interview, the Ss can read the key words. (2) The Ss can use the vocabularies and target languages to make up conversations and interview their friends. 2. Ability objectives: The Ss can use the target language to talk about trip plan. 3. Teaching methods In this lesson, I mainly use Communicative teaching method, Audio-visual teaching method . That is to say, Ill let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key sentence patterns by practicing in pairs and in groups . Ill arrange some kinds of activities in this lesson, such as look and say, listening, spoken English competition. 2. Learning methods The Ss are requested to study English creatively and independently. Show some country pictures, guide students ask and answer. 3. Listen and read the text,then answer these questions. 1. Learn and answer. 2. Divide into boys and girls to answer the questions. 3. Listen and read the test. 20min Presenting the new words and sentences about destinations by CAI. Its much easier for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings. Step 3 Practice1. Role play. Read the text in different role. 2. Make up a dialogue. 1. Read and repeat. 2. Make up a dialogue. 15 min To consolidate knowledge and enable Ss to use the target sentences in certain situation. Step 5 SummaryAsk students read the sentences on the blackboard, and guide students to find the same sentences in the conversation of role play. Read the sentences on the blackboard and underline the same sentences on the paper which the conversation is writing on. 2 minEnable Ss to have a clear sense of this lesson. HomeworkTell students the requirement of homework. I design many various activities to help students solve the difficult and key points. I also arrange individual work, pair work, and group work for students to practice English. In such way, most students will get involved in the class activities and learn more efficiently and effectively. That is “Learning by doing, Learning by using”. In this lesson, students have been able to understand and use “Where shall we go?” through describing and some pictures, however, their ability of talking about trip plan is not good enough, which is to be consolidated in next lesson.
