Improve students interactive learning abilities. Affection goal: 1. Foster students interest and desire of learning English. 2. Encourage students to take part in interactive activities and speak English. The important points and difficult points The important points: Help students learn and master important words, and sentence patterns. The difficult points: Help students improve their four basic abilities. Teaching procedures: Step 1: Warming up The teacher and students greet each other, then sing the English song “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” together. Step 2: Pre-reading T (teacher): Look and answer “ What are they? ” (Then teacher plays the video. ) S1 (student): They are ducks. Then the teacher writes the ducks on the blackboard and uses phonics to show the new word. Step 3: While-reading Show new words: T: What are they? Are they ducks? (The picture is showed on the PowerPoint.) S2: They are not ducks. T: What are they? S3: 他们是鹅。 T: OK, very good. They are geese. Then the teacher writes the new word shows it to students. T: What is it? It is a goose. Oh, so many geese. Lets count together. (The teacher and students count: one goose, two geese, three geese.) T: Guess “ What are they? ” (The picture is showed on the PowerPoint.) S4: 他们是猪。 T: Right. They are pigs. Then the teacher explains the new word and tells the new word cows in the same way. T: Guess “ What are they? ” (The picture is showed on the PowerPoint.) S5: 他们是羊。 T: Right. They are sheep. T: Look and listen: one sheep, two sheep, three sheep. What do you find? S6: sheep 的单复数相同。 T: OK, very good. Play a game: T: Look, so many animals. What are they? (The teacher raises a card.) S: They are ducks. T: Good. Right? S: No. T: Right? S: Yes. (The card in the teacher hands is pasted under the corresponding word.) T: Who wants to try? S7: What are they? S: They are geese. (The student pastes the card under the corresponding word and then some rest cards are pasted, too. At the same time, two previous words rabbits and dogs are previewed.) Listen and read: T: Open your books, listen and read. (The teacher plays the recording while students listen and read twice.) T: Team1 asks and Team2 answers. (Team1 and Team2 ask and answer one by one.) T: Close your books, stand up and react it follow me. S: Look there! So many ducks. They are not ducks. What are they? They are geese. (The teacher and students retell and perform the text together twice.) Step 4: Post-reading Do the pair work: T: Look there! So many geese. And some words are missing. Let us react the dialogue or create a new dialogue. One, two, go. (Then students do the pair work.) T: OK, stop. Which group wants to try? S: Group 1 raises their hands. (Group 1 performs. Then Group 2 and Group 3 perform.) T: Which group is the best? S8: . S9: . Step 5: Summary and homework Review: The teacher asks What have we learned today? Some students answer it, and the teacher will summarize at last. Homework: 1. Try to recite the dialogue. 2. Try to finish Task 5 with your partners. Blackboard Design What are they? What are they? They are geese. sheep ducks pigs cows Teaching reflection First of all, the teacher guides students into the topic of this lesson naturally and students can participate in the class quickly through the video import. The purpose of this part is to attract students interest and make the pavement for the following part. Secondly, guessing new words through some piecemeal pictures on the PowerPoint not only stimulates students curiosity, but also excite students desire to learn new words. Whats more, the assistance of the cards can make the teaching aid diversified, and maintain the attention of the students. Thirdly, group cooperation helps students consolidate new knowledge and cultivates their creativity through retelling or creating a new dialogue according to the outline and the key words shown on the PowerPoint. At last, due to the lack of teaching experience, there are many shortcomings. I will try my best to do it well to improve students listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and make them learn English well in happiness.
