Warmer Sing the song: twinkle, twinkle little star. Students look at screen and sing the song with music. (Aims: St

    4、udents can relax quickly and integrate into the English class.). Ask Ss: Do you like little stars? Divide Ss into four groups and have a match in this class: four stars of different colors. Lets decorate the starry sky. II. Presentation 1.Show a short video ,then let students guess who is it ? T: I

    5、have a letter from Dora, She is a famous cartoon star. She sent me her photos. Show one photo on PPt. This photo is Dora and her house. Ask Ss: Its a big beautiful house. Its made of different shapes. What shape do you see in the picture? 2. Ss say some shapes they see in the picture and help teache

    6、r find out paper cuts and word cards of the shapes. Put them on BB. circleovaltrianglesquarestarrectangle A little teacher leads all students read them. Show a new shape words on BB:heartdiamond (Aims: Through the activities of looking, saying and finding shapes review the shape words we learned and

    7、 learn more new words) 3. Write the new words and sentence patterns on BB. Play the game of magic finger to practice the two new words. III. Drill 1. Show other photos of Dora and her friends: Boots, fox, map, backcbag. There are different shapes of photo frames. Ss look at PPT and listen, and then

    8、help Ss put photos in correct frames. (Aims: practice listening ability, Ss can know how to use these words in our daily life.) 2. Say a chant about shapes. (Aims: Help Ss remember these words clearly and form the language sense) 3. Body shapes. Have Ss help teacher to make different shapes with the

    9、ir arms ,fingers and parts of body. Have other student look and think: What shape do you see? Then Ss do this in pairs and groups. Let students show their different shapes. (Aims: Help Ss find interests of learning shapes and stimulate the imagination. Students imagination is unimaginable,they make

    10、shapes unexpected.) IV. Practice. 1. Adventure game. Show a picture on PPt: boots is lost in the forest. Dora has to help him. So Dora will have a new adventure with backbag and map. Set up six tasks. Have Ss help Dora to choose. a. Choose a thing to take in the bag. Its in the shape of a square. b.

    11、 Choose a car. The windows are in the shape of an oval. c. Choose a way. The trees are in the shape of a circle. d. Choose a way. The flag is in the shape of a triangle. e. Choose a way. The flower is in the shape of a star. f. Choose a house. Its in the shape of a rectangle. At last help the boots

    12、in the house. (Aims: Through this activity, Ss can find the application of shapes in our life.) 2. Tell Ss that Dora is a brave girl. I want to make a picture for her with different shapes.Teacher shows making a picture at front: a robot. Show a dialogue with Dora on PPt: Teacher: This is for you, D

    13、ora. You are a brave girl. Dora: Its a beautiful picture. Thank you. Teacher: What shape do you see in the picture? Dora: I see in the picture. Thats wonderful. Have Ss read the dialogue. (Aims: From shallow to deep learning of words-sentences-dialogue.) 3. Have Ss make their own pictures with diffe

    14、rent shapes in group of six. Then make the dialogue in pairs. (Aims: expand students mind of space and create the feeling to good life. Ss can feel that English shapes are close to our life.) 4. Show time. Have some groups show their works at front and make dialogue with Dora. V. Consolidation 1. Ha

    15、ve Ss watch a cartoon video about the shapes. They can sing with the music. (Aims: feel the beauty of the English song.) 2. Have students to find the shapes in our classroom. 3. Show some pictures of different shapes and tell Ss that shapes are important in our life. Shapes are everywhere. It can se

    16、rve for us. Remember these shape words. (Aims: Distillation of emotion that shapes are important in our life) VI.Homework 1. Listen to tape and read all shapes words in this unit. 2.
