Introduce a new friend to students - Monkey Tony. Ask students to guess what he can do and raise questions to him. E.g. Can you swim? Can you jump rope? Can you ? The teacher pretends Monkey Tony to say I can build a house, I can fly a kite, I can plant flowers and I can drive a wagon. Do you believe me? Ss: No. T: I dont believe him, too. Now lets watch a video and see whether he tells the truth. Play the video. 2.After watching the video, ask students what shapes they see in the video. Ask students to say and stick the words cards on the blackboard in pairs. II.1. A game-Finding shapes. Monkey Tony: All of you did a good job. You are my good friends now. I want to invite you to my home. Lets go together. Ask students what they can see in Tonys room and what shapes they are.(在此引出句型) Whats this? What shape is it? Its in the shape of . Ask eight students to stand in a circle and pass the shapes cards with the music. When the music stops, they should find the shapes they get in the picture quickly and say the sentences. Practice the sentence patterns. (通过这个游戏,引出了所学过的句 型并进行了句型的操练。) 3. Monkey Tony: I will go to take part in a birthday party. Do you want to go with me? And I need a car, can you help me make a car? Ask students to make cars with the magnetic blocks on the blackboard and express in English.
